Following our successful collaboration with Speller Metcalfe on Willow Gardens in Rowley Regis, Wilmott Dixon approached us to get involved with the new care home that they were building next door to Willow Gardens.
Having seen our work on Willow Gardens, the client wanted to go with a similar design for their signage package.
As with Willow Gardens, we were briefed that the signage should be dementia friendly.
Externally, we supplied a large, curved sign featuring the client’s bright logo.
Internally, we supplied projecting signs with dementia friendly pictograms, at a suitable size, to ensure they were clear to read and stood out against the white walls.
We also supplied a range of wayfinding panels, that featured different colours for each floor of the building.
Using three different colours allowed us to provide easy to read directions to the patients within the care home, this strategy was used across all of the wayfinding signage.
