In the Autumn of 2021, Beta Signs were approached by Cairn Group.

We were instructed to manufacture and install internal and external signage for one of their hotels, Elmbank Hotel & Lodge in York.

Our brief:
Elmbank Hotel is a unique Art Nouveau boutique Hotel, and their brand reflects this.

One of the main features of the brand is the peacock icon in their logo, which is a feature of many Art Nouveau works.

Beta Signs used the Elmbank logo, along with chosen colour combinations, to manufacture a monolith, external panel signs and internal wayfinding signs.

The monolith features the peacock icon and logo, along with the tagline of the hotel, manufactured out of 5mm & 10mm acrylic painted letters.

The internal and external wayfinding signage was manufactured out of frosted acrylic panels, with text/colour printed direct to the face/rear.

Our designer ensured that the signage was in keeping with the Elmbank brand throughout this project, paying particular attention to the existing interior of the building.
