In early 2020, Beta Signs were chosen to supply an internal and external signage package for St Matthews, Church of England, Primary School.
At the time, the school were in the process of building a new Key Stage 2 building alongside their existing school.
The architect involved on this project had specified a large logo to the side of building, this had a prominent position facing the main road.
During the design development, it became apparent to our designers that the school’s existing logo would not be suitable for large construction.
Working alongside the school, Beta Signs created a subtle brand refresh by replacing the main element of the joining hands with a symmetrical heart shape – this introduced a lighter, and stronger section of colours to the overall design.
A warm black was chosen for the lettering, to offer a high colour contrast between the letters and the building façade – this worked nicely alongside the school’s renowned blue.
The library was transformed with digitally printed etch, and one piece wall graphics – Our team at Beta Signs helped to create the designs using inspirational quotes and phrases that are part of the school’s philosophy.
To complete the signage package, we used contemporary dark grey acrylic for the internal signs.
