• Project information:

In 2019, Thomas Telford School built a brand-new building for their sixth form – this created a new entrance to the school.

  • Our brief:

The architect specified a high-level set of lettering along with a roundel which would hold the school’s logo.

  • The original logo and lettering design incorporated the school’s deep burgundy colour palette.

  • Beta Signs worked alongside the architect and the school to provide multiple design options, which showed that the chosen colour provided no contrast against the bricks of the building.

  • To solve this issue, our designers used another of the school’s main branding colours to create a key line using self-coloured vinyl.

  • The final design was elevated further with halo illumination of the letters and logo – The logo also featured face illumination within the profile cut design of the roundel.
