In May 2020, Beta Signs received a referral from a well known contractor.
St Johns Church, in Harborne, went through a £2.8 million refurbishment and required a new brand identity with a contemporary logo for a new cross.
The client’s original cross design was an existing high level steel structure that was fabricated for their previous brand.
The external signs have been manufactured using 10mm aluminium, providing a suitable depth to compliment the built-up letters.
In terms of colours, Beta Signs opted for a dark grey and white on the external signs, which contrasts with the brickwork and white render of the building.
Part of the St Johns Church brand is a distinctive, circular logo with the text ‘sjh’, this influenced the internal room signs.
Beta Signs used a white frosted acrylic for the internal wayfinding and room signs, this provided a great colour contrast to the internal walls.
We also installed facility signage featuring braille, providing a tactile design.
To complete the signage package, Beta signs installed bespoke etch vinyl graphics to the prayer room and main circulation areas.
